Laser hair removal is a safe, quick, and effective way to eliminate unwanted hair from any part of the body by beaming a highly concentrated wavelength into the hair follicle. Pigments in these follicles absorb the light energy, which destroys the blood supply to the follicle and reduces hair growth.
Laser hair removal is most effective on coarse, dark hair and people with light to medium-dark skin; however, it works with any skin type. Normally, 8 to 10 treatments are required, six weeks apart, in order to achieve a significant reduction of hair. Clients should avoid waxing, plucking, tweezing, or using any depilatory creams six weeks before treatment and limit sun exposure before treatment, for maximum results.
